New MAC make-up review

So I don’t know about any of you but when it comes to makeup I’m pretty obsessed. I’ve really struggled over the last couple of years to find an amazing foundation and powder that’s going to make me look as fresh as I did when I first applied (if that’s even possible)! I have literally tried them all when it comes to foundation.

  • Estee lauder double wear– At a pricey £30 a bottle this I’ve used for easily 2 years and I’ve come to the conclusion its gotten so used to my skin its stopped working!
  • Dior forever flawless– this I’ve bought before for £33 a bottle and was really disappointed as it didn’t seem to last at all, but I have recently tried a sample of the new blend and it lasts slightly longer than it used to, but still not enough for me.
  • NYX high definition foundation– this is very reasonably priced at only £12.50 but again it doesn’t seem to last like I want it to.

I have naturally very oily skin and this is where my problem lies when finding makeup that will last, along with a matching powder without the pair costing an arm and a leg! now I am one to wear primer and use a setting spray after applying makeup as well as a shine preventing cream and even with all these lotions and potions by 4 o’clock in the afternoon im patchy, shiny and not happy with my appearance at all.

BUT….. im writing to tell you I think I’ve found an answer and one that is reasonably priced!!

this is the MAC pro longwear pressed powder and foundation, and by 8pm this evening before I had a shower my makeup was still pretty in place and not as usually shiny as normal! I for one didn’t realise how pretty reasonably priced MAC makeup actually is, foundation is £26 and the pressed powder is £22.50. I was pretty impressed with these prices as I was paying £60 for foundation and pressed powder by estee lauder.

Anyone who suffers like me with oily skin and is dying to wear makeup that stays on their face even just until your home at the end of a day then I really urge you to go into mac and get testers of these products. The girls that work on the mac counters in Beales are so lovely and helpful and they give good amounts to sample so it’ll last you a couple of days to trial it.

good luck girls! image
