It feels like it’s been ages since I last posted! We’ve done so much in the last couple of weeks, finally we’ve moved into our new house, I’ve been crazy busy with work at home this month and I’ve finally set up my new Beauty room to work out of!! The house is coming together nicely but I’m so guilty of wanting everything done right this second!! I need to remember I’ll be having some time off soon getting ready for baby to arrive that I can get the house looking perfect then 😊. I’m also almost officially on maternity leave from the barber shop which means a lot more time at home finally 👌🏼👏🏼.
Emotional state- I’m pretty good at the moment, not to emosh although the last week has been super stressful getting ready for the move so that’s been pretty testing ha!
Cravings- ok so when I was pregnant with Connor I wanted to brush my teeth and drink bottles of mouth wash 24/7 and this past week that craving has come back in full force!! My mum bought me a toothpaste that has a really gritty texture to it and I just want to sit and eat the tube. It’s that much of a craving at the moment that I’m actually sat salivating at the thought of it while writing this!😂🤷🏼♀️ scrubbing my hands has also come back as a returning pregnancy thing, I think I probably clean my hands with a washing up sponge 100 times a day which means I’m moisturising constantly!!! Other than all that I’m still a cheese fiend but can suppress that craving now thank the lord 🙏🏻.
Tummy changes- I’ve started noticing how my tummy changes through the day. I usually start out with baby laying very low and as the day goes on he gets higher and higher before returning back down in the evening. He is on the move CONSTANTLY and I’m being beaten up especially through the evenings now but I’m quite happy he’s so active.
Things that are irritating me- sleep is a full on irritation at the moment or should I say lack of it. I wake up at least 3 times a night and even when I am asleep it’s such a light sleep that I wake up as soon as I move or the baby moves. I’m also getting restless legs during some nights and when that happens I’m lucky if I get 4 hours sleep a night. People keep saying ” it’s nature’s way of preparing you for sleepless nights” we’ll I’ve done it before guys I don’t think I need preparing a second time round 😩🤦🏼♀️.
Things I’ve learnt from my googling obsession- so like my last post I’ve googled the sizing of baby and how he’s doing in weight so I’ll list below!
27 weeks baby was the size of a red cabbage.
28 weeks baby was the size of a large eggplant.
At 29 weeks baby is the size of a large cauliflower- he’s also weighing approximately 2.5lbs!
Tomorrow I have a handful of apps at the hospital including a growth scan, a specialist app and my midwife app so I’m excited to see how he’s doing and growing!!
I keep saying it but I’m really looking forward to the next few weeks, slowing down and working from home and also spending some quality time with my Connor. Overall I feel good and I’m doing well I’m just praying baby stays inside cooking past 31 weeks when I had Connor! The hospital bag and baby bag is now packed though just incase!! 😱😉.
I thought I’d throw in a little throwback Thursday of the day we brought Connor home from the hospital at 5 weeks old 😍.
